Ashleigh Mowbray

Originally from Christchurch, in 2013 Ashleigh Mowbray graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Performance from the New Zealand School of Music where she studied with Robert Orr.  She spent the next two years studying at the University of Tasmania on a full orchestral scholarship. Here she completed a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in Orchestral Performance, under the excellent tutelage of David Nuttall.
While in Australia Ashleigh enjoyed playing with the Hobart Chamber Orchestra and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra as well as the TSO Baroque Ensemble. She has worked with various orchestras around New Zealand including the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Wellington. Ashleigh was a cor anglais soloist with the Wellington Chamber Orchestra and spent four years working as oboist and cor anglais for the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band. 
In 2016 Ashleigh returned to Christchurch and after completing her Masters at the University of Canterbury was awarded the Associate Principal Oboe position with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
